Tennessee glamping

Are you looking for the perfect weekend getaway? ..... You need to checkout Tennessee Glamping. These 2 private geodesic camping domes are located just 1.5 hours out of Nashville in Altamont, TN.

I've done tent camping before and I'll be the first to admit that's really not my thing. I love the outdoors - hiking, fishing, kayaking, but this girl needs running water and a toilet haha. I'm truly an outdoor lover than doesn't want to sacrifice modern conveniences. Tennessee Glamping is truly a GLAMOROUS camping experience.

Amenities

Tennessee Glamping features 2 completely private domes with a stunning mountain view. They are each equipped with a kitchen, heat and air, wifi, and a bathroom/shower. Now listen to the best part, they each have their own hot tub, outdoor propane grill, and a fire pit. This is what I call a GLAMOROUS camping.

Domes

The main difference between the two domes is accessibility and how many people each dome sleeps.

Dome #1 - has 1 double bed, 1 fold-away bed, and 1 queen bed. This dome could comfortably sleep 5. The dome has a parking lot with a steep hill and set of stairs to get to the dome making it slightly less accessible. I recommend packing lightly.

Dome #2 - has 2 fold-away beds and 1 king bed. This dome comfortably sleeps 4. This dome actual has parking available at the dome with no stair case.

Our Night Glamping

We stayed one night in Dome #1 due to availability, but I would love to go back sometime and do a 2 night stay. When we arrived, we unloaded the car and took in the gorgeous dome and view. That afternoon we hung out outside, grilled some burgers and roasted some s'mores that TN Glamping so generously left for us to use. After the sun went down we took a dip in the hot tub and relaxed under the stars with the fire going.

The next morning we watched the sun rise, ate breakfast, and drank our coffee on the patio. We packed up our car and got ready to go hiking before we headed home for the day. This was the best one night getaway away I've ever had.

Hiking Nearby

TN Glamping made us a hiking guide with about 8 top hikes in the area. This was super helpful because I hadn't done any research. We decided to hike Greeter Falls because it was closest to the dome and the easiest hike having Brooks with us. At Greeter Falls you can actually hike to two separate waterfalls each about 1 mile long. Check out their recommended top hikes here.

We seriously had the best time glamping. It was a truly magical experience that I highly recommend. This private getaway would be great for a families, couples getaway, or even for a small bachelorette or bachelor party. They built on dome #2 because dome #1 is completely booked through 2022. They are expanding with more domes in the distant future, but for now Dome #2 still has some availability in 2022, If you want to book a stay here you better act FAST! You can book your stay on https://www.tennessee-glamping.com/.
